Behind The Scenes of Dondria's "Shawty Wussup" Video Shoot.

June 18, 2010 -  in Atlanta, So So Def R&B singer DONDRIA finished shooting the video for her second single “Shawty Wus Up” featuring Johnta Austin and Diamond. Directed by G. Visuals, the video is a spin-off of the classic New Edition video “If It Isn’t Love.” Dondria’s debut album Dondria vs. Phatfffat hits stores August 3.

Singers Room Live Event

"On Monday May 17, Singers Room and The Garner Circle organized and hosted a Live Event in Atlanta, Georgia, which featured performances from the Legendary -“Teedra Moses”, So So Def’s- “Dondria”, Former Danity Kane member- “D. Woods” and Newcomer “Jaiden”.   Each performer rocked the venue, and left the large crowd wanting for me. Maybe it’s bias since we interviewed Dondria on this site before, but aside from Teedra Moss, I’m going to say Dondria had one of the best performances of the night. Check out a couple of pictures.

Music Spotlight- Monica: "Everything To Me"

Monica is are Music Spotlight Artist of this week. Earlier this week I had that opportunity to speak with one of my favorite r&b artist -Monica. We spoke for about 20 minutes, and it was definitely a surreal moment for me. She is literally Atlanta Royalty, musically speaking. Sprite Step-Off Controversy!

So over this past weekend, Atlanta radio personality, Ryan Cameron, held his sprite Step off challenge. If you are familiar with the tradition of stepping, than you know it is primarily a tradition within HBCU's and their Black greeks. So what's the fuss about?..
Well an all white sorority won the top prize of $100,000 in cash, prizes, scholarships. This has caused a lot of controversy among mainly African Americans who attended the event. Even some claiming that "they stole our tradition"???(nonsense)..

Let's remember, this same type of minor outrage happened when a white student was named valedictorian at the historical black college of More-house.

I really don't care too much for stepping, but in my opinion, If you can step, you can step, doesn't matter what color you are. Don't be mad at them, Step your skills up next time.
